Emmy x Recycling Center

A collaboration that makes recycling easier than ever before.

Emmy and the Helsinki Metropolitan Area Recycling Center have launched a pilot collaboration aimed at making responsible consumption as effortless as possible. The partnership combines the donation of goods and the sale of clothing – customers can take care of both at the same time. The goal is to promote reuse, reduce textile waste, and support more responsible consumption – through concrete actions. 

How does the collaboration work?

You can bring your donated clothes and items as well as branded clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories for sale all at once, in a single visit. Leave your donated items at the Recycling Center and place good-condition, saleable branded clothing in the Emmy box during the same visit.

Bring items for sale and donate in the same visit:

• Sort and pack separately the items for sale and for donation
  • FOR SALE = branded items in good condition and up to date
  • FOR DONATION = everything else
• Fill out the sales dispatch note for items for sale (see instructions below)
• Leave donated items at the Recycling Center and drop items for sale into the Emmy sales box

 

Emmy sales boxes now in three Recycling Center stores in Espoo:

 

📍 Finnoo Luoteisrinne 1, 02270 Espoo: in the middle of the store next to the stairs, emptied on Tuesdays. 

📍 Iso Omena shopping center Iso Omena 2nd floor, Piispansilta 11, 02230 Espoo: at the back of the store near the lamp and picture shelves, emptied on Mondays. 

📍 Nihtisilta Kutojantie 3, 02630 Espoo: at the front of the store next to the entrance, emptied on Tuesdays. 

Sell branded clothes with Emmy

Deliver your items for sale free of charge via the Emmy sales box 

• Select clean, intact, branded clothes for sale.
• Fill out the sales dispatch note with the code KIERKE.
• Pack your items for sale and place your seller number inside the bag.
• Mark your sales batch on top with the shipment code and number the packages 1/3, 2/3, etc.
• Deliver your sales batch to the Emmy sales box.
• Relax – we’ll handle the sales work for you.

START SELLING

Donate to the Recycling Center

In addition to clothes, shoes, and bags, you can donate all kinds of
household items to the Recycling Center, regardless of the season:

• clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry
  
• household items, e.g. dishes, recordings, books, kitchen utensils
  
• decorative items, e.g. paintings, vases, pots
  
• sports and outdoor equipment
  
• craft, sewing, and hobby supplies
  
• tools and renovation equipment
  
• electronics in any condition
  

 

You can also bring larger items, such as furniture, bicycles in any condition, and electronics to the Finnoo and Nihtisilta stores 

Items to be donated to the Recycling Center can be packed, for example, in a reusable bag, plastic bag, or box and brought to the store’s donation point.
